God Loves You

As we look at the world today with all its corruption, it looks like there is no hope for man kind, for they do not believe the word of God as being sufficient to saving the soul of man. When God created the heavens and the earth he made it sufficient to sustain life. Even so, the word of God is to sustain life “that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life (1 John 1:1).” Jesus was the Word of life that came down from heaven, and the words that is spoken by Christ is the word of God. “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my (God's) words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I (God) shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my (God's) words which he (Christ) shall speak in my (God's) name, I will require it of him (Deut 18:18-19).” God made it very plain that we are to hear Jesus Christ, “And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him (Matt 17:2-5).”
God loved man so much that he was willing to give his Son to die on that old rugged cross. When man sinned in the Garden of Eden, justice would have allowed the obliteration of humanity, but God's love would not allow it, but his justice would not allow the sin to go unpunished. So he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).” Since God sent his Son to die for us, Is that not proof that he loved us? “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).” The love of God demands our obedience, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous (1 John 5:3).” What are the commandments of God? “All thy commandments are righteous (Psa.119).” The commandments of God are all righteous, and every command he gives are the righteousness that is revealed in the Gospel of Christ. Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Rom 1:16-17) “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” (Rom.1:18) Whatsoever is unrighteous is not of God! That which is not revealed in the Gospel of Christ is not of Faith. The apostle Paul said “for whatsoever is not of faith is a sin (Rom.14:23).” “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Rom 10:17) When we teach or practice that which is not revealed in the word of God it is therefore sinful and unrighteousness. We do not love him if we do not keep his commandments for the apostle John said “he that saith, I know him, and keepth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1John. 2:4) And if we keep his commandments, which is the revealed word of God, the gospel of Christ, the faith, we are working the righteousness of God since all God's commandments are righteous. “If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.” (1 John 2:29) Therefore one must work righteousness to be born of God: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 3) We should be able to see that it was because of the love that God has for man kind that he gave his only begotten Son to died for the sin of the world, and to revealed his word to us by the apostles with the Holy Ghost sent down from Heaven which things the angels desired to look into, (1 Peter.1:12) which we know as the word of God or the Bible. If we can help in study of God's word please let us know.
